What we supply
Medal ribbons hold the medal and carry the event or organisation colours. We make them to your design, in any width, and attach them to your medals before packing. Ordering the ribbon with the medal means one supplier, one approval process and medals that arrive ready to hand out.
Sublimated ribbons
Sublimation prints the design into the ribbon fabric. It reproduces full-colour logos, sponsor names, gradients, dates and text along the length of the ribbon. This is the usual choice for race and event medals, where the ribbon often carries the event branding and sponsor logos.
Woven ribbons
Woven ribbons have the pattern woven into the fabric. They suit stripes and simple patterns, and they give the traditional look expected on commemorative, service and military-style medals. See commemorative medals for those designs.
Width and hooks
Ribbons are made in any width. Wider ribbons give more space for logos and suit heavier medals; narrower ribbons suit smaller medals and a more formal look. Hooks can be V-neck, where the ribbon is sewn into a V that sits flat on the chest, or straight. Tell us the medal size and weight and we will suggest a width and hook.
How to brief a ribbon
Send the ribbon artwork or a description of the colours and stripes, with Pantone references where you have them. Include the width, the hook type and any text or logos. Our designers lay out the ribbon with the medal so you see both together on the colour draft. The design fee is USD 100 per design, credited against your order.
Ordering notes
Ribbons are normally ordered with medals and follow the medal schedule: samples take about 7 days and finished goods about 14 days in total, both counted from the day after your deposit. For the medal itself, see custom medals; for presentation, see packaging boxes. The customization guide lists every accessory, and you can request a quote with your ribbon details.
